La revue <em>Topoi </em>publie des comptes rendus critiques, des chroniques d'actualité, des synthèses et des débats. La Méditerranée orientale, le Proche et le Moyen Orient dans I'Antiquité, de l'archaïsme à l'époque tarda-romaine forment le cadre général des intérêts de la revue, avec quelques axes privilégiés : Orient hellénisé, économie, temples et sanctuaires, environnement antique, pratiques administratives ... Une de ses originalités est de faire une grande place à des comptes rendus souvent très détaillés ; ils prennent parfois la forme de chroniques bibliographiques sur une thématique privilégiée de la recherche actuelle.
